For extra handle support, a rectangular patch is heat sealed to the inside faces of the bag where the handle will be. An oval die cut is then punched through the face and the patch to give the die cut extra reinforcement. Commonly, the die cut has a standard 3” x 1” opening. Adding the patch provides extra strength and longevity when carrying heavier items.
